Europa League winner, Manchester United are expected to confirm Zlatan Ibrahimovic and other fringe players’ exit on Friday, when the Premier League club releases its annual player retention list.
It is understood that senior United officials have decided against offering the 35-year-old an extension to his one-year deal at Old Trafford, which expires on June 30.
Ibrahimovic, who scored 28 goals last season for the Red Devils, is undergoing rehabilitation after a season-ending knee ligament injury he suffered in April.
He is expected to be out until 2018 and Jose Mourinho is already searching for a replacement in the summer transfer market.
United will announce their list of retained players at 9am on Friday.
