Marouane Fellaini is confident that Manchester United have what it takes to win at White Hart Lane against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
United are one point behind the top four and having crashed out of the Europa League, Fellaini knows that the Red Devils must go for a win against Spurs to maintain their push for a Champions League place.
“It’s a big, big game,” Fellaini told the Manchester Evening News. “Tottenham are near the top of the table. But it’s a huge game for us as well.
“We want to be in that top four. A club like Man United has to play Champions League so we will go there and do our best to try and win the game.”
Despite Fellaini’s optimism of getting a result at Spurs, Louis van Gaal’s team are up against one of the most in-form sides in the Premier League, who need a result themselves to avoid handing the title to Leicester City.
The key man for the home side will be 22-goal striker Harry Kane, while the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen will seek to do the damage from midfield.
However, the giant Belgian is unafraid of the Spurs trio, claiming that United have enough quality to match anyone on their day.
“The quality we have we can beat anyone, and I think we’ve shown that.” he said.
“But we have to be there in the right moment. We will do our best on Sunday and hopefully we can get there.”
Fellaini was also quick to call on United fans to lend their support to the team in the crucial run-in, insisting that they can give the team the extra boost needed to finish the job.
“The fans at this club are fantastic,” the midfielder added. “They always help the team at Old Trafford and they will a big role until the end of the season.”
A win for United could see them move into fourth spot, while a defeat for Spurs could spell the end of their league title chances.
