Nigerian singer Opeyemi Rahim, widely known as Lyta, has openly expressed his desire to return to his former record label, YBNL Nation.
The artist revealed his intentions during an appearance on the Ginger Yourself Podcast, shedding light on the circumstances that led to his departure from the label.
Lyta clarified that his departure from YBNL Nation was not intentional and expressed a strong desire to reunite with the record label.
He stated, “I want to be back with YBNL, what I did back then [leaving YBNL Nation] wasn’t intentional. I didn’t hear from Olamide before leaving, and after I left, he just locked up. But I’ve spoken to him since leaving. I chatted with him via Instagram on his birthday, and he responded.”
Responding to a question about whether Olamide is following him on Instagram, Lyta replied, “No. He is not following anybody on Instagram.”
The ‘Monalisa’ crooner had left YBNL Nation in 2019 following a reported fallout with Olamide, the founder of the record label.
In a 2022 interview, Lyta disclosed that he left YBNL Nation because he “heard a lot of things from friends and people in the industry” and added that he “didn’t know who or what to believe, and some people eventually got into my head.”
