The Lagos State Government has announced the postponement of the 2025 Public Service Examinations, initially scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, now rescheduled to Friday, May 23, 2025.

The announcement, made public on Monday through the state government’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, was confirmed by Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, who cited the need to uphold the credibility of the process.

“The decision was taken to ensure the integrity of the examination process and guarantee a fair experience for all candidates,” Orunsolu said in an official statement.

Okay.ng reports that the decision has sparked immediate reactions from civil service aspirants across the state, many of whom welcomed the added time to prepare.

Orunsolu further assured that specific dates for individual papers would be announced soon through official communication channels. Candidates were urged to stay alert and monitor the Board’s portal, examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng, for updates and guidelines.

“Candidates are reminded to retain their registration details and print their examination slips before the announcement of the new dates,” he added.

The Board Director expressed gratitude for the patience and understanding of all candidates and stakeholders, while reaffirming the commitment of the state government to conduct the examination in a credible, transparent, and efficient manner.
