Following his brace against Liverpool on Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane has now surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s Premier League goal haul.
During his years with Manchester United, Ronaldo established himself as one of the truly elite players in the world, in which time he scored 84 goals for the Red Devils.
With his double at Wembley on Sunday, the English forward’s tally in the Premier moved to 86, two goals better than that of his Portuguese rival. Kane has been the English top flight’s golden boot winner for the past two seasons and looks set for a tilt at a third consecutive trophy with this incredible start to the 2017/18 season.
Understandably there have been comparisons with Real Madrid’s iconic forward although Mauricio Pochettino has looked to take the pressure of his talisman.
