Repeated gunshots was heard around the Rivers State Government House this morning . A banker who works at the Secretariat Complex located on Nnamdi Azikiwe Road told TheCable that there is pandemonium in the area as people are running helter-skelter for safety;
“There was sporadic shootings from the government house axis at about 9:30am. This has caused a lot of pandemonium as people are seen running helter-skelter and the roads are totally dry. We have closed our doors at the main branch and the cash centre, pending when the environment will be calm. We are still monitoring the situation. We had to lock the premises,” he said. “Once it is calm, they will be evacuated,” he said.
