Pro-secessionist and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Wednesday said he refused the federal government’s offer of a Biafra Republic while imprisoned.
This offer, he claimed, came with the offer of an oil bloc and choice property in Dubai.
He said he rejected the offer as it contained only the five south-east states -Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo- which, according to him, do not constitute the complete Biafra.
Kanu, speaking in his Umuahia home while hosting leaders of the Igbo Civil Society Coalition, said a complete Biafra would have to include Rivers and Benue states.
Kanu reiterated his total commitment to the actualisation of Biafra and the impossibility of being swayed of what he termed “Greek gifts”.
“Biafra is coming, there is nothing to stop it,” he said.
