A peace advocacy group, comprising leaders of Niger Delta ex-agitators, Leadership, Peace and Cultural Development Initiative (LPCDI), has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for developing projects in the region.
This was contained in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement signed by the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier-General Paul Boroh (retd), after a review of 2017 activities by the Federal Government, passed a vote of confidence in the President and the Amnesty Committee.
“A vote of confidence was passed in President Buhari and Paul Boroh over their landmark efforts to bring about development to the Niger Delta region,” the group noted.
“The group particularly lauded Mr. President for the approval of the establishment of the Nigerian Maritime University at Okerenkoko in Delta State.”
