Enugu Rangers have emerged winners of the Nigeria Professional Football League title.
The Flying Antelopes survived a late scare to beat Ikorodu United 2 – 1 away from home to grab the trophy, with 60 points and one game to spare.
Wikki Tourists and Rivers United who were all in the hunt for the league shield also failed to get the desired results in their respective games.
While Wikki lost 1-0 in Ibadan against Shooting Stars, Rivers United lost the initiative as they could only play a barren draw at home against Abia Warriors.
This is Enugu Rangers’ first Nigeria top-flight title in their 32 years of participating in the league.
