President Muhammadu Buhari has transmitted the minimum wage bill to the national assembly (NASS) after its approval by the national council of state on Monday.
The national council of state had approved the sum of N27,000, while the federal government said it would increase to N30,000 for its workers, Okay News reports.
Ita Enang, senior special assistant to the president on national assembly affairs, said the bill was transmitted to the parliament on Wednesday.
However, Enang did not give details of the content of the bill.
Okay News recalls that several unions have come forward to reject the approved N27,000 new minimum wage.
