Atletico Madrid star, Antoine Griezmann, was named French footballer of the year by France Football magazine on Monday.

Griezmann last week finished third behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the Ballon d’Or world footballer of the year award also organised by France Football, supersport.com reports.
The 25-year-old was named best player at the European Championship in the summer, where France lost to Ronaldo’s Portugal in the final.
