A 30-year-old man, Javoh Dubi, has been arrested by the Taraba State Police Command for allegedly murdering a Fulani herdsman, Adamu Umaru, for grazing on his farmland.
The state Commissioner for Police, Nyats N. Jatau, while briefing newsmen in Jalingo, the state capital, said that the command received information from the officer in charge of Nyaja police post that Dubi who is from Lanko village in Yarro local government area of the state, fought with the trio of Muhammed Ibrahim, Babangida Ibrahim and Adamu Umaru, all of Tola village in Mayo-Belwa local government area of Adamawa State who were grazing on his farm land.
The police boss said that when Javoh chased the men out of his farm, they attacked him and it resulted to a fight and in the process, Dubi ran into his house and took a bow and arrow and shot Adamu Umaru to death.
