19 People have been confirmed dead and 50 others injured at Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester on Monday night following an explosion.
Greater Manchester police, in a statement posted on Twitter said:
“Emergency services are currently responding to reports of an explosion at Manchester Arena. There are a number of confirmed fatalities and others injured. Please AVOID the area as first responders work tirelessly at the scene. Details of a casualty bureau will follow as soon as possible.”

Another Update gives figures on the explosion:
“We could hear the police and ambulance sirens,” added Brewster. “It was terrifying…There were thousands of people trying to get out at once. They were all screaming and crying. The whole place smelt smokey and burnt.”
